about
it brings me great joy, this track. I originally released it on an EP called Sharper Corners, Broader Sides in 2016 as 'camp gambil'. I have since privated the EP and it remains in the vault, but this track has always been super special to me. In 2016 i produced it using a sequencer called nanoloop (still on the app store) and audacity to record vocals. Of course, the final version wasn't all that great production-wise(for context, I was 16) but I can still feel everything I poured into it four years ago. With that being said, i've remastered the track from the ground up for no reason it seems. I hope you enjoy it as much as i have <3
lyrics
If i stared longer down the barrel
Could you promise me a black eye
To my worst days, to my off days
and when you would pull the trigger
Could I flinch in amusement
Pack your stuff and drive into the sun
It's been three months since you've seen me
I haven't aged at all
I still have your necklace
I still have the locket
I still have the birthday card
You made me when we were at camp
I'm stuck with change
I'm stuck without pennnies
I'm stuck help me down
I'm stuck get me down from here
If I had a black eye
Could you still love me
I would say so
Only if i knew how to
The great new record from Arminda K is full of synth-heavy songs that cast out in fascinating directions—accessible & experimental alike. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 21, 2021
